"Tomorrow can't wait" is the title of the short film starring Jean-Karl Vernay.
Next year, the Pure ETCR will be the first multi-brand racing series for all-electric touring cars. This will not consist of actual races, but of battles over a sprint distance, similar to rallycross or drifting.
So far, three manufacturers have been confirmed as participants: Cupra with the e-Racer, Hyundai with the Veloster ETCR and Alfa Romeo with the Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR by Romeo Ferraris.
Wild chase
The short film "Tomorrow can't wait" revolves around the latter. It sounds like a James Bond film - and was staged accordingly.
The driver Jean-Karl Vernay, TCR International Champion 2017, was enjoying his free time in a small town in Spain (no, not with a lady for once) when his team sent him a text message to attend the secret presentation of the Italian electric touring car at the Alcaniz race track.
It's not so easy to accept the invitation, as two spies on motocross bikes are hot on his heels. But the Frenchman, smartly dressed like James Bond 007, shakes them off and arrives a little late, without revealing their reason.
700 hp and Power Boost
Like M and Q in numerous action flicks with Bond, team boss Michela Cerrutti and Neil Cole present him with his future company car. Vernay is just as impressed by its qualities as 007 is by his numerous and often wrecked sports cars.
