This would create an additional traffic tax on the backs of motorists, which is intolerable. It is also clear that a change of system from the adhesive sticker to the e-vignette would cause high additional costs, which would primarily affect the own population. In addition, urgent questions regarding data protection are completely unresolved. Furthermore, the ACS fears that the e-vignette could be misused for the total surveillance of drivers. In general, the ACS is very surprised that the Federal Council is dealing with such detailed issues as the abolition of the adhesive vignette instead of addressing the existential and urgent issues of mobility in the future. Accordingly, the ACS calls on the Federal Council to first address the issue of mobility in the future in general and then deal with the detailed solutions.
