ABT rocket: VW Golf GTI Clubsport S with 370 hp
370 hp (272 kW) and 460 Nm torque - that's what ABT Power tickles out of the VW Golf GTI Clubsport S after its cure with the specially developed control unit and suitable software. ABT has also taken on the "normal" Clubsport. With 310 hp (228 kW) and 380 Nm torque, the Clubsport S is almost three times as [...]
With 310 hp (228 kW) and 380 Nm of torque, the Clubsport S is almost three times as powerful as the original GTI from the 1970s. In the fall of 2016, the Wolfsburg-based model took the title for the fastest front-wheel drive car on the Nordschleife. "We have increased the horsepower and torque by around 20 percent," explains Hans-Jürgen Abt: "And as always, we guarantee not only the greatest driving pleasure, but also maximum reliability and durability." Incidentally, the additional power not only improves acceleration, but also the top speed, which is now 268 km/h.
With 265 hp (195 kW) and 350 Nm, even the Clubsport without the "S" doesn't always make things easy for the establishment, but ABT thinks it could do with a little more to be a real sports car terror. Fortunately, the world's largest tuner of vehicles from the VW and Audi Group also supplies
the normal Clubsport Pilot. With 340 hp (250 kW) and 430 Nm, it even outperforms the standard Clubsport S.
In terms of suspension, the two cars are already well equipped. However, ABT Sportsline conjures up new suspension springs and sports stabilizers for an even sharper look. And since it's important to see that you're not being overtaken by an ordinary GTI Clubsport (S), the customer can also refine their vehicle with a new front grille, headlight covers, mirror caps and a tailgate attachment.
