Aaretal Garage: Solution for battery problems
BATTERY SERVICE AS A BUSINESS MODEL With a new offer, Aaretal Garage wants to make electromobility a business. It has recently started offering modern charging and energy management solutions in a battery repair center.
Last year, Aaretal Garage in Münsingen was expanded to include a battery repair center. It can now call itself a Volvo high-voltage competence center.
In addition to setting up elaborate safety equipment and technical infrastructure, further training of employees is a prerequisite for obtaining this certification.
Managing Director Iwan Müller: "Car mechanics are used to being able to touch 12-volt systems at any time and at any place - without any special protective measures. Now they are exposed to higher and life-threatening voltages."
Inform customers
At the moment, the battery center is not yet operating at full capacity. But that will change quickly. What is already in demand today are the charging stations.
Iwan Müller: "On the one hand, we have several test vehicles, and in addition to the test drive, interested customers also want to have it explained right away how charging works."
Aaretal Garage has opted for the Charge Pilot energy management solution. This distributes the available grid connection power cost-consciously to the e-cars to be charged, depending on the current building load.
The garage company was able to put the first charging stations into operation just a few weeks after the initial contact. Further charging stations will be delivered in the course of this year.
