Emil Frey Racing: The principle of hope applies 🎥
EVERY POINT COUNTS When the DTM stops off at the Red Bull Ring next weekend, it will be an important race for Emil Frey Racing. The penultimate round of the DTM season will take place from September 22 to 24, 2023.
Thanks to the close cooperation with Max Verstappen and Red Bull, the Swiss team is celebrating a home race there. With this extra portion of motivation, they are counting on good results in order not to lose touch with the top 5 in the team standings.
The guest race at the Red Bull Ring is the second DTM race outside Germany. At the first away race in Zandvoort, things went disappointingly in both rounds and so all hopes now lie on the races in Austria.
Enthusiasm for teams and audience
The historic and adrenaline-charged atmosphere of the Red Bull Ring not only inspires the team and the drivers, but will once again attract a large audience, as it does every year. The circuit has a length of 4.318 kilometers and a maximum gradient of twelve percent. Especially the long straight after the Niki Lauda curve up to Remus demands good downforce as well as good speed from the cars.
With four DTM races still to go, Emil Frey Racing still has a good chance of securing a place in the top five. The team is currently in 7th place in the standings, 17 points behind fifth place.
Fight for the top 3 in the championship
Review: Strong performance by Emil Frey Racing in Valencia. At the penultimate round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS Sprint Cup, the two Ferrari 296 GT3s impressed with a consistently competitive performance. Both cars finished the two races in the top-10 and with the number 69 the team secured two podium places - and that at the home race of the Spaniard Albert Costa Balboa. With these points results, everything is now open again in the team standings in the fight for the top-3 in the championship.
