The jury for the Red Dot Award: Product Design consists of 40 experts from all over the world. The jurors are independent, may not belong to any industrial company and may not vote for products in whose creation they were involved in any way.
Typical Seat genes
The exciting design of the new Ibiza small car puts everything in the right light. With the triangular full-LED headlights, the striking daytime running lights and the proud logo on the radiator grille, visually enhanced by the two character lines on the hood and a small gap in the chrome surround, the new Ibiza is immediately recognizable as a genuine Seat. The short overhangs, the long wheelbase and the shape of the windows emphasize the sporty, stable and dynamic character. They also emphasize the size and width of the vehicle.
Sharp lines and smooth surfaces
The design of the body impresses with its combination of sharp lines and smooth surfaces. The double longitudinal blisters, a typical Seat design feature, give the vehicle a strong three-dimensional appearance. The lines of the tailgate and bumper make the vehicle appear wider and monolithic, while the rear reflectors bring it visually closer to the ground. The different equipment variants set different visual accents. In the "FR" variant, exhaust pipes on the right and left of the rear bumper emphasize the sporty aspirations, while chrome details in the "XCELLENCE" convey sophistication and sophistication.
