Amag Award: Opportunity for Swiss families
DEADLINE LAUNCHES IN MAY Each year, the Family Business Award sponsored by Amag honors a Swiss family business that distinguishes itself through responsible action and sustainable entrepreneurship.
Companies can still apply for the Amag Family Business Award on the online platform www.family-business-award.ch until May 14, 2023. Swiss companies that stand out for their sustainable entrepreneurial spirit and employ more than 25 people are eligible for the award.
In addition, there must be at least one generation change and the chairmanship of the board of directors or the operational management must be held by a family member. Furthermore, the majority of the capital must be owned by the family.
Memory of the founder of the company
Family businesses make a decisive contribution to Switzerland's high level of prosperity. Around 90 percent of all companies in Switzerland are family businesses. Since 2012, Amag has therefore endowed the Family Business Award in memory of the company's founder Walter Haefner. The award is intended to highlight the mindset, values and commitment of family businesses and underscore their importance for the Swiss economy.
The winning company is selected by a jury consisting of experienced personalities with proven expertise in the field. The judging process was developed by the Center for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability at the School of Management Fribourg.
