New VW Crafter available now

The completely new Crafter developed by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is now available in Switzerland. It offers customer-oriented transport solutions with maximum economy and is available immediately from Swiss dealers in various versions and engine options. The starting price is CHF 28,950 (excl. VAT) for the panel van with 102 hp / 75 kW and front-wheel drive.

Positive outlook
Marcel Schaffner, Head of Brand Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Switzerland, is looking forward positively to the market launch that has now taken place: "With the title of "International Van of the Year", we certainly have a strong tailwind for the market launch. Thanks to its outstanding and practical features as well as its economy, the new VW Crafter is exactly the right vehicle for our commercial users and customers from the skilled trades. They can use it to boost their business success." The new Crafter has been completely redeveloped and will be produced at a completely new plant near Poznan, Poland.

Swiss Champion
Right at the start of the market launch, there is a special "Swiss Champion" model with high customer benefits, extensive basic equipment and special Swiss body solutions. For example, customers can get the Crafter Swiss Champion with 3-side tipper from CHF 37,200 (customer benefit of CHF 6770) or the Crafter Swiss Champion with box body and rear-mounted tail lift from CHF 50,200 (customer benefit of CHF 7270).

Improved equipment
The new Crafter also has improved basic equipment: This includes safety features such as a crosswind assistant, hill start assist and the multi-collision brake, start-stop system and a steering wheel that can be adjusted longitudinally and in height. Numerous additional optional extras and options further enhance comfort, safety and economy.

The new VW Crafter is now available in various variants.
