Porsche: ... and another record 🎥
DONE The fastest production electric car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife to date is the Porsche Taycan: Lars Kern needed 7:33 minutes for one lap with a Turbo S.
The car was equipped with the new performance kit and the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) optional equipment. Apart from the roll cage and racing bucket seats, the car remained unchanged. The weight was the same as that of the production car.
Rubber compound resembles racing tire
The performance kit includes 21-inch wheels in RS Spyder design with street-legal Pirelli P Zero Corsa sports tires.
The rubber compound is similar to that of racing tires. Another component is a software update for the chassis control system adapted to the sports tires.
Retrofit takes place in Zuffenhausen
The performance kit itself should be available from the end of the year. Retrofitting after initial delivery to Porsche workshops is planned in Zuffenhausen. This includes transport to and from the headquarters as well as individual acceptance and registration of the Taycan.
The price for the performance kit is 13,377.32 euros. The factory warranty of the Taycan remains in full force.
