Polestar: Successful course and a new bike
AND IT CONTINUES For the first half of 2022, e-car manufacturer Polestar reports record deliveries, a good order backlog and the start of production of exclusive mountain bikes.
Electric car maker Polestar, which has been listed on the Nasdaq New York Stock Exchange since the end of June, delivered about 21,200 vehicles in the first half of 2022, more than doubling the number of deliveries from a year earlier.
The Swedes expanded their global presence from 19 to 25 markets during this time, and the number of retail locations increased from 103 to 125, and now they are entering a new business segment with the production of mountain bikes.
Special version of the Alpha model
The two-wheeler was developed together with Allebike, a Swedish manufacturer of high-quality bicycles. The full-suspension Allebike Alpha Polestar Edition model will be available in a limited edition of 100 units and is a new flagship product in the Polestar Additionals webshop.
The bike is a special version of the well-known Alpha model of Allebike with custom-made, lightweight and rigid frame made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic.
Each bike is made by hand
Like the Polestar vehicles, the full-suspension bike is equipped with Öhlins shocks. The gold Polestar versions of the Öhlins RXF34 m.2 29 Air Suspension are specially tuned for optimum performance of the limited mountain bike.
Each bike is hand-built by Allebike in Alingsås, less than an hour from Polestar's headquarters in Gothenburg. The bike will only be available in one size and two colors for around 9500 euros.
Summer road show through Switzerland
Back to the car. During the summer roadshow through Switzerland, Germany and Austria, the Polestar 2 will be available for test drives in popular vacation regions. Specialists will be on hand to answer questions about the brand and the vehicles, as well as on the subject of e-mobility.
After the first stop of the tour in Landquart, the car will be available for first contacts at the Museum of Transport in Lucerne from July 19, at the Piazza Castello in Lugano from August 2 and at the Schiffbauplatz in Zurich from August 16.
