Hyundai: First appearance of the Ioniq 6 🎥

AND IT CONTINUES After the Ioniq 5, it has now taken quite a while for Hyundai to pull the sheets off the next electric car.

But now the time has come and the manufacturer has at least shown the design of the new electric car before all the details of the technical specifications are presented on July 14, 2022. But there are already rumors about an Ioniq 6 Shooting Brake and a sporty Ioniq 6 N.

Hyundai Ioniq 6
At 2.95 meters, the wheelbase of the Ioniq 6 is slightly shorter than that of the Ioniq 5.

Shorter, flatter and significantly longer
At 295 centimeters, the Ioniq 6's wheelbase is slightly shorter than that of the Ioniq 5, but it is significantly flatter at 1.50 meters and considerably longer at 486 centimeters.

The front end of the 6 Series is pleasingly styled; the smooth hood slopes down to the front bumper, which - as on vehicles from the 1970s and 1980s - has a wide black stripe. However, this does not serve as impact protection; instead, various sensors are concealed behind it.

Wheels dimensions 18 or 20 inch
The side section flows into a gently sloping rear end, which is rounded off by two eye-catching spoilers and a horizontal light strip. The flowing forms contrast with relatively hard-edged front and rear bumpers and the angular 18- or 20-inch wheels.
Metal pedals, leather and fine fabrics

The generous interior offers ample space in the front and rear, and the driver's seat can assume a reclining position. Metal pedals and a choice of leather and fine fabrics make for an almost luxurious travel experience. When the camera-based exterior mirrors are specified, the dashboard is adapted accordingly.

Power range of up to 585 hp
Hyundai is still keeping quiet about the powertrains, but the platform is already clear: It is the E-GMP architecture with rear- or all-wheel drive, which enables a power range of up to 585 hp.

A corresponding model would then bear the N logo, but it has not yet been decided whether Hyundai will expand the range that far upwards.
