Trucker Festival: Vehicle mechanic, a job with a future 🎥
WHERE TO MEET The International Trucker & Country Festival attracts up to 50,000 people to Interlaken every year. carrosserie suisse presents the profession of EFZ vehicle mechanic.
Peter Bucheli (center gallery) is head of the Vehicle Construction and Road Transport Department at the Lucerne Vocational Training Center. He is responsible for 400 apprentices and twelve teachers. The busy vocational school teacher is also known to the Swiss vehicle construction scene as a committed ambassador for the vehicle mechanic profession.

Peter Buchli: "There are two events where we belong. These are transport-CH in Bern and the Interlaken Trucker Festival. This is where the whole of Switzerland comes together; it's all about showing the profession. Our message: the best profession you can learn is vehicle mechanic. You also have to make people aware that you can have everything made in Switzerland.
annual highlight in the Bernese Oberland
The International Trucker & Country Festival Interlaken takes place this year from June 24 to 26 and can be called legendary with a clear conscience. Trucker, biker, line dancer, country and western fans will meet at the airfield in the large western village with its unique festival atmosphere and over 100 stores, bars and food stands, attractions, lots of line dancing and over 30 (partly internationally known) bands and show acts.
The impressive Truck Mile with 1130 giants of the road will also host the appearance of carrosserie suisse.
Talks with the people from the industry
Peter Buchli: "The most important thing is conversations with people from the transport industry and the vehicle world, but also with quite a few visitors", We design the stand (gallery on the left and right) similar to the one at Transport-ch in Bern with large-format pictures of actions, statements and educational paths. These are starting points for conversations. We had good experience with this in Bern."
Competition with a hydraulic crane
At least one teacher and two apprentices will always be present at the stand. The location of the 4×6 meter tent in the heart of the Trucker Mile is next to the tents of ASTAG, Routiers Suisse and other companies. There will be a competition with a small hydraulic crane that can be controlled by remote control to win great prizes.
