Hyundai: New KW suspension for the runabout
COMFORT AND DYNAMICS The Hyundai i20 N is one of the sportiest vehicles in the power compact segment. A KW V3 coilover suspension with independently adjustable compression and rebound damping is now available for the 204 hp small car.
Compared to the sporty standard suspension of the Hyundai i20 N, the KW V3 coilover suspension gives the small car a suitable residual ride comfort - coupled, of course, with a plus in driving dynamics.
KW knows the right technique
This is made possible in the new KW suspension by the multi-valve damper technology. Even at maximum lowering, the KW V3 damps harmoniously in everyday use and gives the car precise handling.
The parts certificate for the V3 coilover suspension covers an additional lowering of 10 to 30 millimeters on the drive axle and rear axle in the i20 N, which is already lowered ex works. The price is 2415 francs.
High quality component
The stainless steel coilover suspension now offers much more than the possibility of maximum and continuously adjustable lowering in the Hyundai i20 N of the BC3 series.
Peter Banz of KW automotive (Switzerland): "Compared to many other suspensions in the aftermarket and tuning segment, our coilovers with their adjustable multi-valve technology offer the best possible compromise between sporty handling and ride comfort."
Adjustments easily possible
If the preset KW suspension setup is too comfortable or too firm for some drivers, the damping in the low-speed range of the compression and rebound damping can be individually adjusted separately in just a few steps.
Twelve clicks are available for the low-speed compression stage and 16 clicks for the low-speed rebound stage. The high-speed valves, which are only activated by rapid piston rod movements, are not adjustable on the KW V3.
