OFFICIAL TEAM Lamborghini reaffirms its commitment to Esports with its own factory team. The three sim drivers who will represent the brand in international sim racing competitions in the 2022 season have now been announced.
Lamborghini decided to create its own team to build on the experience gained with "The Real Race". The Esports team represents a new opportunity to expand the brand's presence.
In addition, sim racing triggers emotions that can compete with a real race.
Team with three talented racers
The three Sim drivers are Jordan Sherratt, Gianfranco Giglioli and Giorgio Simonini. Born in South Africa in 1999, Sherratt is the perfect figurehead for the team, both because of his already proven qualities and his great passion for the brand.
The second talent in the round is Gianfranco Giglioli, a 24-year-old Italian-Venezuelan driver who has already made a name for himself in the sim racing universe.
The trio is completed by 22-year-old Italian sim driver Giorgio Simonini. His track record includes a first place finish in the 2020 SimGrid World Cup and a fourth place finish in the 2020 SRO Esports Championship.
Third edition of Real Race at the start
Furthermore, Lamborghini confirms the return of "The Real Race" for 2022. The dates for the third edition of Lamborghini's Esports brand series will be announced in the coming weeks.
