Auction Toffen: The fast way to the oldie
WHERE TO MEET The Toffen spring auction has been part of the start of the season for many classic car and youngtimer enthusiasts for many years, just like redeeming the classic car or planning the first tours.
On Saturday, March 26, 2022, the time has come again and the specialists from Toffen have put together an interesting portfolio of younger and older classics. Their total value has been estimated at 3.071 million Swiss francs, with an average of 34,506 Swiss francs expected per vehicle.
This time there is even a car as a boat
Among the 89 vehicles offered there are 30 open cars and 25 coupes. The rest is distributed among bicycles, bikes and even a Citroën 2CV converted into a boat is offered.
On average, the vehicles are 50 years old, but the age spectrum is wider than this average age would suggest. At the other end of the age spectrum, there are 15 cars that are less than 30 years old. Among the youngtimers, a dozen cars are called up.
34 percent of lots are sold without a minimum price
Triumph, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo and Ford are the brands most strongly represented; a Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, two Dodge/Chrysler Vipers and three Citroëns, as well as a Lancia Delta Integrale, are sure to generate a great deal of interest. Thirty-four percent of the lots will be offered with no reserve price. Four vehicles, including a penny-farthing and a workhorse, are over 120 years old. In addition, there will be four other pre-war automobiles and one pre-war motorcycle.
Livestream on the day of the auction from 1:30 p.m.
Pre-auction viewing of the auction vehicles is possible until March 25, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on the auction day from 9 a.m. at the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen. The auction will start at 1.30 pm. This auction will also be broadcast via Livestream to be followed from 1 p.m.
In order to give interested parties a comprehensive impression of the auction vehicles even without an on-site inspection, the online vehicle presentations are additionally supplemented with underbody pictures, documents and a short driving video.
