Genesis: This is the GV60 with the magic bullet 🎥

PREMIERE The GV60 is Genesis' sixth model in Europe and the brand's first all-electric vehicle on the road to full electrification. The Korean is an electric crossover with a sporty coupe design.

With its closed front and narrow lights, the GV60 has a particularly striking appearance.

The Korean brand's first Stromer is exactly 4.515 meters long, 1.89 meters wide and 1.58 meters high. Despite the sunroof, passengers still have plenty of space above their heads in the rear. In the front, there is plenty of room for the legs and the storage compartments can hold all sorts of small items.

The front design with the characteristic quad lights in a two-line design complements the voluminous-looking body. Because the hood and fenders are formed from one solid piece of sheet metal, this gives the GV60 a particularly slim and elegant appearance.

On the radiator grille is a new wing emblem in the guilloché pattern often used for luxury watches.

Digital side mirrors and power exterior door handles complement the GV60's modern look.

Crystal Sphere connects vehicle and driver
Probably one of the most striking design elements in the interior of the GV60 is the so-called Crystal Sphere, a kind of magic sphere (gallery below center). It serves to enhance the aesthetics of the interior and also forms the link between the driver and the car. When the car is started, the sphere rotates in different colors and transforms into a shift-by-wire gearshift.

To make the GV60 sustainable, various interior elements are made from environmentally friendly and recycled materials. The seats, armrests on the doors and on the console are made of plant-based leather. The seat covers and door panels are made of special yarns obtained from recycled PET bottles and fishing nets. Everything feels pleasant and, above all, very dignified.

Three fully electric drives are available
The GV60 will probably be available in three equipment lines. In addition, customers will be able to individualize their vehicle with a technology and comfort package. This includes additional safety technologies, infotainment features and comfort features such as digital exterior mirrors, a glass roof and nappa leather upholstery.

The GV60 will be available in Europe in three all-electric powertrain variants: with a single 168kW (228hp) electric motor and rear-wheel drive, with two 160kW rear and 74kW front electric motors (218 and 100hp) and all-wheel drive, and in a particularly powerful version with two electric motors and all-wheel drive.

Its power increases to a total of 360 kW (490 hp) by activating boost mode. The boost mode button on the steering wheel activates the additional power for ten seconds. The range of this GV60 is up to 466 kilometers according to WLTP, and maximum torque is 700 Nm.

Charging from ten to 80 percent in 18 minutes
The GV60 uses a multi-quick charging system that increases the 400 volts supplied by the charger to 800 volts. Thanks to the drive motor and inverter, the fast charging system is perfectly matched to the vehicle system and enables stable and fast charging. At a charging power of 350 kW with the ultra-speed charging function, the battery can be charged from ten to 80 percent in 18 minutes.

Classic engine sound or e-sound
Occupants of a GV60 can choose between three sound designs using a special system: a futuristic sound that alludes to the mobility of the future, a sporty, smooth G-Engine sound with classic engine noise, and an E-Motor sound that reinterprets the vehicle's engine sounds.

The model variants have been specially developed to meet different requirement profiles. All models have four doors, five seats and a 432-liter trunk. An additional compartment with 53 liters (RWD models) or 20 liters (AWD models) of storage space is located under the front hood.

All this can be examined and tested when the Genesis GV60 is at the dealership starting this summer. Prices have not yet been set.
