Peugeot: 9×8 Hybrid more than just a bolide

HYBRID-HYPERCAR The Peugeot 9x8 Hybrid super sports car designed by design chief Matthias Hossann was appropriately staged by German fashion and sports car photographer Agnieszka Doroszewicz before the start of the season.

9x8 Hybrid
With a long tail section but no rear wing, the aerodynamic 9×8 Hybrid racing sports car is aiming for racing success.

The design team went to great lengths to develop the Peugeot 9×8 Hybrid Hypercar. The new model has been given all the modern aesthetic features typical of the brand: flowing lines enhanced by sporty dynamics, slim flanks and, of course, the brand's signature three-claw light signature.

Style and technique match
The slim and elegant vehicle thus embodies enthusiasm and speed. For the hypercar Peugeot 9×8 Hybrid, engineers and designers worked closely together to achieve a match of style and technology and create a competitive vehicle. Probably the most striking of the design feature is the absence of a rear wing, which gives the car a unique shape.

Brand typical elements in design
Another sign of Peugeot's expertise and style is the interior of the 9×8, which is based on the brand's signature i-cockpit. The entire cockpit is designed to offer maximum ergonomics and ease of use for the driver.

In its all-wheel-drive hybrid, the mid-engine car combines a 2.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 internal combustion engine rated at 680 hp with a 200kW (270 hp) electric motor up front.

Le Mans as a highlight in the 2022 program
As the photographer for the 9×8 series of images, Agnieszka Doroszewicz immediately recognized the potential of light signatures.

Agnieszka Doroszewicz: "We wanted to spread our shoot over a long day and extend it into the night. So I was already able to perfectly showcase the Le Mans 24-hour race in my photos this year. The atmosphere, the excitement and the tension are tangible, and of course you can feel the history of this race in every pore. You can't escape it."

The race is still a while away, by the way. The 24 hours will take place on the weekend of 11/12 June 2022
