Toyota: Number 1 among car manufacturers
VALUE OF THE BRAND Toyota has once again made it into the top ten of the world's most valuable brands. In the Best Global Brands 2021 ranking, the seventh place of all brands worldwide means the top spot in the automotive industry.
Once again, car manufacturer Toyota has won the title of the world's most valuable automotive brand in the Best Global Brand evaluation. The Best Global Brands study conducted by the U.S. brand consultancy Interbrand has been selecting the most valuable brands every year since 1999.
The ranking is based on the financial performance of the brand, the role of the brand in the purchase decision process and the strength of the brand in terms of securing future revenues.
Soon a drive mix of more than 70 percent
By 2025, Toyota will offer more than 70 electrified vehicles worldwide, including at least 15 battery electric ones. In Europe, this means a powertrain mix of more than 70 percent hybrids, more than ten percent plug-in hybrids and more than ten percent all-electric models by 2025.
The six ranks ahead of Toyota are occupied by Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Samsung and Coca-Cola. Other automakers placed 8th (Mercedes), 12th (BMW) and 14th (Tesla).
