Lexus: New NX comes as a plug-in hybrid 🎥

PREMIERE The second generation of the NX is the first Lexus to be available with a plug-in hybrid. This brings even lower consumption and more comfort in the SUV. The premium Japanese car from Lexus is tailored to European needs.

The NX replaces a successful model for Lexus. More than 170,000 units have been sold in Europe since 2014.

More than 95 percent of the parts are new, while the design is based on gentle evolution. The front retains the large radiator grille, while the rear is no longer emblazoned with the brand logo, but with a light strip and brand lettering. In addition, the NX is around two centimeters longer and wider, which provides more space inside.

In addition to the typical hybrid with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and now 244 hp (with front-wheel drive from 49,900 Swiss francs, as an all-wheel drive model from 62,900 Swiss francs), the NX is also the first Lexus to be available as a plug-in hybrid.

Lexus NX
The new Lexus NX features an evolved body design and continues to drive electrification.

Finely tuned chassis and classy interior
The battery with 18.1 kWh disappears into the underbody and also drives an electric motor on the rear axle. This gives the PHEV (from 75,900 Swiss francs) 309 hp. The driver feels the dynamics of the new Lexus NX during brisk acceleration, but it is also completely trimmed for comfortable gliding.

Even more so when there is still power in the battery (electric range 63 kilometers according to WLTP), the Japanese car glides wonderfully quietly. Added to this are the finely tuned chassis and the refined interior. Here, the 14-inch touchscreen system stands out. It can be operated intuitively and navigates clearly. Those who prefer talking to typing can use the good voice assistant.

Comfort, more safety and low consumption values
Speaking of assistants: When it comes to driving assistance and safety systems, the new model is right up to date. Even the doors open at the push of a button - or not, if a collision with traffic from behind is imminent. After all, in addition to comfort and low fuel consumption, the NX also wants to score with safety.

And when it comes to workmanship and quality of materials, the NX is truly premium. And all that combined with ten years of free service and warranty.
