Sim Racing: autovirtuell honors the first winners
WHERE YOU MEET Virtual motorsport is all the rage. Sim racing events are currently booming all over the world. From now on, you can also start at autovirtuell in the autobau Erlebniswelt in Romanshorn.
And this passion has also gripped ex-racing driver Christian Mettler. In the past, the long-time sports commission president of the ACS Thurgau was himself a successful racer on racetracks in Switzerland and abroad. In the meantime, the experienced driver is enthusiastic about sim racing.
Christian Mettler: "My enthusiasm for this sport has given rise to a business idea. The offers from autovirtuell are primarily aimed at fans who are enthusiastic about motor sports, but at the same time also at car drivers and motorists who want to improve their driving safety."
Challenge, Ladies Cup and Championship
Planned events are the Sim Racing Challenge of the ACS Thurgau, a Ladies Cup and the race on October 30, 2021, which is part of the official Sim Racing Swiss Championship.
On the occasion of the opening weekend, more than 60 riders took part in the Challenge. Lukas Eugster (Herisau) ahead of Tom Lademann (Fällanden) and Tim Vietz (Frauenfeld) are the first winners.
Six driving simulators waiting for starters
Christian Mettler: "We would of course be delighted if as many motorsport enthusiasts as possible could find their way to us at the autobau factory in Romanshorn and experience exciting moments in the company of like-minded people. Six driving simulators are waiting for starters. For company and club events or group events we offer everything you need. For example, you can also visit the autobau Erlebniswelt and enjoy culinary delights."
Reservation system for direct bookings
autovirtuell is based on the sponsorships of motorsport promoter Fredy Lienhard, Christian Mettler and the ACS Thurgau. Operationally, the AG is managed by Christian Mettler as Managing Director, with administrative support from the ACS Thurgau office in Kreuzlingen.
The office manages the reservation system for direct bookings and advises interested parties by mail or telephone.
