Catch a Car Car sharing
The VW Eco Up!

Catch a Car is the first and only station-independent car-sharing service in Switzerland. It was launched in Basel in 2014, followed by Geneva in 2016, and other major cities are targeted. The hundred VW eco-move up! vehicles that Catch a Car put into circulation in Geneva last November run on CO2-neutral biogas. This not only protects the climate, the innovative car-sharing service also reduces private motorized transport; according to an ETH study, one so-called catch car replaces four private cars.

On display at the natural gas/biogas stand will be a range of gas-powered vehicles that offer excellent value for money while protecting the environment: the new family favorite Opel Zafira, the sporty Seat Leon, the VW eco-move up! that Catch a Car will have on display in Geneva, and finally the popular Fiat Panda, available from as little as CHF 10,000.

Visitors to the natural gas/biogas stand will also learn how biogas is produced from organic waste. Interested parties will receive comprehensive information about natural gas/biogas as a fuel and why driving with gas is a clean, inexpensive and safe alternative to conventional drives, while also ensuring that driving fun is not neglected.
