Name wanted for Seat SUV

Under the hashtag #SEATseekingName, the company is looking for a name for a new, large Seat SUV to be launched in 2018. The company is therefore now inviting people to submit suggestions and vote on the name of the new vehicle with up to seven seats, which is to be positioned one class above the Ateca.

Action sequence
Since the announcement of the new SUV last March, the company has already received numerous suggestions from all over Spain for the name of the new model. From June 1 until June 22, anyone can now submit their favorite name for the new model on the website www. seat.com/seekingname. Important restrictions: The proposed name must be a Spanish place name; the name must fit in with the Seat brand values and the characteristics of the products and, last but not least, it must be easy to pronounce in different languages.

Decision at the IAA
In addition to experts from Seat and naming specialists, customers from various countries are also involved in the pre-selection process. Tests will also be carried out in order to make a shortlist of at least three names at the end. The finalists will be announced on September 12 at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main. The public vote on the favorite among the selected finalists will then take place from September 12 to 25. The winning name will be the one that receives the most votes. Seat will then announce the name of its new SUV by October 15.

Trio then complete
The new model, which the VW Group company plans to launch on the market in 2018, completes the SUV trio, which already includes the Ateca and the Arona, which will celebrate its market debut in the second half of this year.
