In collaboration with the Swiss Museum of Transport, muba 2017 will present, among other things, technologies that will be seen on our roads in the future. Already a reality today is the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell - a hydrogen-powered vehicle that is already in series production.
Not visible from the outside
With the ix35 Fuell Cell, the brand is already offering the first production vehicle with this drive system in Switzerland as well. The first thing visitors will notice: You can't see any difference from the outside or the inside to the crossover models Hyundai now offers in various sizes with the All-New Tucson (the successor to the ix35), the New Santa Fe and the New Grand Santa Fe with combustion engine.

More than 25 vehicles are now on the road in Switzerland, twelve of them at Coop alone. The latter has a good reason: Coop Pronto has been operating the first public filling station for hydrogen-powered cars and commercial vehicles in Hunzenschwil (AG) since November 2016.
Power generation directly in the vehicle
The big advantage over conventional electric vehicles lies in the generation of electricity, which takes place directly in the vehicle and thus enables a range of 600 km. Hydrogen serves as the energy source. This is converted into electricity in the fuel cell, with only water vapor being emitted. In Switzerland, the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell is available either at a price of CHF 66ʼ990.- or on lease. Hyundai underlines the reliability of the Hyundai ix35 and the fuel cell technology with the factory warranty of 5 years or 100ʼ000 km.
