The battery of the agile five-door vehicle grows from 22 to 41 kWh, which corresponds to a calculated standard range of 400 kilometers and should enable a real-world range of 300 kilometers. The new battery was developed together with LG Electronics from Korea and uses more powerful cells. It is no larger than its predecessor in terms of installation space, but 22 kilograms heavier. The cooling system of the energy storage unit has also been optimized. The new energy storage system can be charged to 80 percent capacity in one hour and 45 minutes via fast charging. The new Zoe version will be offered alongside the old one. Renault is also launching the new Z.E. Trip and Z.E. Pass services to simplify access to charging infrastructure across Europe. The free service can be used to locate the nearest charging point among some 80,000 electric charging stations in Germany, Austria, France, the Benelux countries, Denmark and Switzerland. Z.E. Trip is activated via the in-vehicle multimedia system; Z.E. Pass is an app.
