Otokar and Webasto will show the new bus at the IAA Mobility in Munich (September 7-12). The city bus can seat more than 100 passengers. Maximum power is 340 kilowatts (455 hp), and maximum torque is 40,000 newton meters.
Battery modules on the roof and at the rear
The batteries powering the bus are lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt oxide batteries with 35 kilowatt hours each. Up to ten batteries can be installed. The battery modules are mounted on the roof and at the rear of the bus.
This way, the center of gravity does not move up too much and the rear batteries improve traction with their weight.
Charge from 0 to 100 percent in four hours
The range is over 300 kilometers, depending on the terrain and usage profile. Otokar plans a battery utilization of ten years or 3000 charging cycles.
Up to 20 percent of the energy consumed can be recovered through braking. Otokar plans battery use of ten years or 3000 charging cycles.
