By 2050, the entire company will be climate neutral. Now the first big step on the way to "ZERO Emission" has been taken. 20 vehicles of the current fleet will be replaced by fully electric ID.3 this year.
Pilot project for the greater Lucerne area
Urs Neuhauser, CEO Griesser: "As a first step, we want to know whether we can make our service and assembly activities in the greater Lucerne area even more environmentally friendly."
For this reason, a pilot project has been launched to replace parts of the vehicle fleet for customer support and, in the Lucerne region, all wagons for service and assembly with the ID.3.
Savings totaling 120 tons of CO2
With the ID.3, employees of the Griesser company in Lucerne are already traveling in a climate-friendly, clean and quiet manner. The plan is to save a total of 120 tons of CO2 and over 45,000 liters of diesel per year.
The electricity for the 560,000 kilometers driven annually in the region is to be sourced 100 percent from certified renewable energy sources (green electricity).
Urs Neuhauser: "Our pilot project is just the beginning. We have set ourselves the goal of becoming 100 percent emission-free by 2030 and completely climate-neutral as a company by 2050."
