The special model is a modern interpretation of the original with classic elements such as the exterior color in Wimbledon White and a rally stripe on the roof and rear spoiler.
It will make its debut at Monterey Car Week, where it will be presented together with the only surviving Ford GT prototype from 1964 in its original livery.
Carbon fiber wheels and silver painted brake calipers
Modern touches include exposed carbon fiber components, 20-inch carbon fiber wheels, silver-painted Brembo brake calipers with black graphics, and black wheel nuts. Carbon fiber was also used in the interior on door sills, the lower A-pillars and the center console.
There is also Alcantara for the seats, pillars and headliner, color-matched Alcantara and fine leather on the instrument panel, and a sports steering wheel with black stitching and polished shift paddles. Production is scheduled to start in January 2022.
