Swiss Classic Award: Who knows candidates?

Do you know someone who organizes events for Classic Car Lovers and finally deserves public recognition for it? Or a team of young people who have new ideas for events around the topic of classic cars? Or has a technical innovation caught your eye that will help preserve classic cars for the future?

Then propose the people, events, locations or whatever for the Swiss Classic Award 2021.

Awards in four categories
The Swiss Classic Award is presented in four categories. The Innovation Award honors projects that break new ground for the Classic Community in technical, organizational or public relations terms.

The Rookie Award is aimed at the new generation, rewards promotion and recognition of historic vehicles by individuals, events or institutions. The Door Opener Award recognizes measures that aim to attract new enthusiasts to Classic Cars.

An open application process is running for these awards; anyone can submit proposals via the swiss-classic-award.ch homepage until August 12, 2021. Three finalists will be selected by a jury of seven experts.

A jury of experts selects the Lifetime Award
A fourth award, the Lifetime Award, is determined directly by the expert jury and honors individuals who have worked tirelessly to preserve classic vehicles or to ensure the existence of events, museums or institutions.

The awards gala will take place on November 13, 2021, at the autobau erlebniswelt in Romanshorn, where racing legend Fredy Lienhard, winner of the 2019 Swiss Classic Lifetime Award, will be the host. The prize was presented to Lienhard by the organizer of the election, Bernhard Link, and Urs P. Ramseier of the Swiss Historic Vehicle Federation, which supports the event (picture gallery center).
