Following the CR-V and the new Jazz launched in 2020, the new HR-V is the latest Honda model to feature an e:HEV hybrid powertrain (Hybrid Electric Vehicle).
Honda is thus further expanding its range of electrified vehicles. All of the brand's volume models available in Europe are to be electrified by 2022.
Integrated grill is characteristic feature
The design of the Japanese car, which is not only pleasing at first glance, is intentional, because the HR-V should be well received all over the world.
Characteristic features are the integrated grille, the long hood and sharper, more vertical flanks
The hood with its low, flat center and powerful shoulder lines running to the base of the A-pillars lends the HR-V visual stability and underscores the character of an SUV.
Thanks to clever integration of the hybrid drive components, the new HR-V offers excellent interior space that also allows four adults to travel very comfortably.
Clearly arranged instrument panel
In the spacious interior, modern fabrics and high-quality, soft materials ensure a contemporary SUV look. The clearly arranged instrument panel with its horizontal lines and carefully positioned controls contributes to the modern aesthetics and open feeling of space.
A new ventilation system creates a veil of fresh air next to and above the passengers, flowing from special L-shaped vents in the upper corners of the dashboard.
131 hp and maximum torque of 253 Nm
Due to its compact drive technology and centrally located fuel tank, the new HR-V also features the brand's versatile Magic Seats. This means that the rear seats can be folded down and up depending on the amount of cargo space required.
The powertrain comprises two compact and powerful electric motors coupled to a 1.5-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine. A total of 131 hp and a maximum torque of 253 Nm at 4500 rpm are available.

Hill descent control is standard equipment
And importantly for Switzerland: As a premiere for the European market, the new HR-V has an integrated hill descent control system that is active from as little as three km/h.
The system increases driving control and safety on slippery surfaces and steep inclines - from slippery underground parking garage exits to snow-covered roads.
