Good starting position thanks to faultless stint
Starting driver Frédéric Yerly drove a faultless stint with his many years of experience. He thus put the team in a good starting position. Jasmin Preisig took over the car in drying conditions and drove the VW Golf TCR without any problems into the evening. Afterwards Gustavo Xavier took over the car as the third Swiss.
Interruption due to fog and slippery slope
With the darkness, fog gradually spread. In addition to the poor visibility, the track became more and more slippery, which is why the race organizers decided not to race at night.
Gustavo Xavier expressed his disappointment at the lack of driving time at night: "For months I've been looking forward to the stints at night. I can understand the decision, of course, however, it's already disappointing for me."
Double victory in the SP3T class for the team
At 11:40 a.m., the race was restarted the next day. Matthias Wasel drove the restart and handed over the car to Frédéric Yerly after a faultless stint. Jasmin Preisig then crossed the finish line in second place behind the sister car of Max Kruse Racing. Thus, there was a double victory in the SP3T class for the team to celebrate.
Not bad.
