In order to best meet the needs of customers, garage owners and their employees are increasingly developing into mobility service providers. They provide expert information on drive technology, assistance systems, car sharing and car subscriptions.
This increases the demands on sales specialists. The AGVS is therefore introducing the new basic vocational training course for retail specialist EFZ Automobil Sales from 2022.
Olivier Mäder, responsible for training at the AGVS: "With the new, industry-specific EFZ basic training, we are ensuring that garage businesses have qualified specialists in the car trade. Advice and the sale of vehicles will also play a major role in the online age."
Attractive basic training for sales specialists
The future retail sales specialists advise and serve customers in the showroom, on the phone and online. They also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the various financing options and point out the additional investments required in connection with alternative drive concepts. The young people are offered a new training and examination branch in sales.
New requirements in the area of mobility
As part of the Sales 2022+ project, the revision of the retail trade professions, the basic training courses Retail Specialist EFZ Automotive After-Sales and Retail Assistant EBA Automotive After-Sales will also be offered from next year.
With these two more sales-oriented new basic training courses and the basic training in automobile sales, the AGVS is responding to the dynamics in the mobility sector.
