At Porsche's Exclusive Manufaktur, craftsmanship, attention to detail and high-tech come together.

This is how unique sports cars are created, prepared by specially trained employees. The Zuffenhausen factory not only offers customization of new vehicles, but also personal customer advice and the production of personalized one-offs and limited small series. Numerous accessories and retrofit options are also available through the Tequipment range.

Start in the seventies
A "special request department" was established as early as 1978. It designed and manufactured production cars with engine and chassis optimizations. With the tuning boom of the 1980s, optical individualization was added.

Porsche Exclusive followed in 1986, and since the launch of the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series in June 2017, the business unit has been called Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. However, the first individualization plans were fulfilled much earlier. In May 1955, for example, a customer had a rear window wiper installed in his 356.

Since the launch of the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series in June 2017, the business unit has been called Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.

Pioneers of finishing ex works
Today, 25 percent of all 911s delivered feature particularly extensive refinement. Almost one in five 718s and more than one in ten Panameras are also exclusively customized.

Alexander Fabig, Head of Customization and Classic: "With our long experience, we are among the pioneers of ex-works refinement. With more than 700 options across all model series, we have more than doubled the range since 2012."

Limited special editions
Limited small series are produced time and again for collectors and sports car fans. The latest example is the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition, an 911 with quotes from the 1950s and 1960s.

One important business area is factory restoration. In addition to Porsche Classic factory restoration near the main plant in Stuttgart, factory restorations have also been possible at Porsche Cars North America in Atlanta (USA) since 2018.

Ten years after end of production
In principle, Porsche Classic takes over the support for road vehicles ten years after the end of production. Currently, these are the 356, 911 (up to type 996), 912, 959, 914, 924, 944, 928, 968, Boxster (type 986), Carrera GT (type 980) and, more recently, the first-generation Cayenne.
