Audi works driver Lucas di Grassi explains the Monaco GP Circuit and its pitfalls for Formula E.
Formula E still doesn't go down well with purist motorsport fans. However, few racing series are as unpredictable and entertaining as the world championship for electric racing cars.
Sébastien Buemi, the only one of the three Swiss drivers who has never stood on the podium this year, is also feeling the effects of this. The Nissan driver wants to finally make up for this at the seventh round of the 2021 World Championship in Monaco.
Fond memories of Sébastien Buemi and Nico Müller
For the first time, the original GP circuit, which the Vaud native is familiar with from Formula 1, will be used. Buemi has won two of the three previous Formula E races in the Principality.
Nico Müller, who achieved a surprising second place in the energy-saving race in Valencia, also last drove in Monaco in 2013, where he won the Renault World Series race.
Swiss TV consumers can follow the Formula E action on Saturday, May 8, either on MySports One (qualifying from 11.55 to 13.10, race from 16 to 17.55), or on SAT1, Eurosport 2, ORF1 and in the livestream from ran.de.
The official Formula 1 video channel presents five emotional moments from previous Grands Prix in Barcelona.
Formula 1 with TV pundit Marc Surer again
Formula 1 traveled directly from Portimão to Barcelona, where the fourth round of the 2021 World Championship will take place on a track it knows best. Unlike in previous years, however, the pre-season tests did not take place on the Catalunya Circuit.
For Swiss television, Michael Stäuble and GP expert Marc Surer will commentate on qualifying (Saturday 14.55 to 16.10 on SRF zwei) and the race (Sunday 14.20 to 15.40 on SRF zwei or 14.50 to 16.50 on SRF Info).
Formula 3 season starts with a well-positioned Jenzer team
The FIA Formula 3 starts its season in the GP supporting program - still in front of empty grandstands. This year, Jenzer Motorsport can be expected to do better than Alfa Romeo Sauber in Formula 1.
Spearhead Calan Williams is one of only two riders in the 30-strong field who have not changed teams. The Australian should therefore be good for victories in his second season with Jenzer, as the pre-season tests also indicate.
The 18 rookies in the field of hotshots include the other two Jenzer juniors Pierre-Louis Chouvet (19) from France and Hungarian Filip Ugran (18), who raced with Jenzer in Formula 4 in 2020.
Presentation of all Formula 3 teams/drivers 2021. Jenzer Motorsport is on the agenda from 4:10 minutes.
Grégoire Saucy defends table lead
As in Imola, the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine also takes place as part of Formula 1. Grégoire Saucy from Jura traveled to Spain as the first leader of the standings, where he set the fastest time in free practice.
Among the 34 riders from 18 nations, Jasin Ferati, Axel Gnos and Léna Bühler, who has recovered from a testing accident, are three more Swiss riders in search of their first championship points.
Race 1 starts on Saturday at 13:33, race 2 (30′ plus 1 lap each) on Sunday at 10:53. The livestream is available on the series channel at YouTube and Facebook to see.

Emil Frey Racing is represented in the field of 27 GT3 sports cars with its three Lamborghini Huracáns. Without Rolf Ineichen, who is only taking part in the endurance races, Ricardo Feller and Alex Fontana will be looking to confirm their brilliant third place overall from Monza.

At the Rampa de Boticas in the north of Portugal, the first points for the 2021 European Hill Climb Championship will be up for grabs after a one-year break. As reported, Ronnie Bratschi, a Swiss driver in a Mitsubishi developed in accordance with the new FIA regulations, has his sights set on the touring car title.
