Since April, the Swiss Surfing Association has been driving purely electrically with the new Toyota Proace EV. Sustainability is one of the most important pillars of the SSA and Toyota offers these values with sustainable mobility solutions for safe and efficient mobility.
Sustainable orientation
There are now over 50,000 active surfers in Switzerland, even though there is neither sea nor beach. Surfers are turning to alternative options, such as standing on their boards in the river. Or they use indoor facilities such as urban surfing.
Christian Künstler, CEO Toyota AG: "I am very much looking forward to working with the Swiss Surfing Association. We are united by the vision of contributing to a better world through sport. This sustainable focus fits perfectly with our philosophy and we are very committed to providing our partner with future-oriented mobility solutions based on respect, teamwork and the pursuit of continuous improvement. This commitment complements our national strategy in supporting the Olympic spirit."
Surfing in the middle of Zurich
Toyota has been a proud partner of Urbansurf - Switzerland's largest surfing facility with a standing wave in the heart of the city of Zurich - for four years. Surfers and spectators can enjoy spectacular surfing action on the sporting platform as well as a cool drink in the Toyota Lounge. Because urban surfing also means lifestyle, experience and enjoyment.
Another eye-catcher is the Toyota C-HR, which greets guests on a shipping container at the entrance to the Urban Surf. Toyota became part of the Olympic Partner Program as a global mobility partner back in 2015.
