After the Tour de Romandie could not be held last year due to the pandemic, it is betting on a brilliant comeback this year. The tour started in Oron, Vaud, and ends in Fribourg on May 2.

Also on board will be ten natural gas-powered vehicles from the Seat range, which will be used as transport vehicles for VIP guests and other journeys.

More economical mobility solution for the event

Seat marketing boss Nicolas Hobi: "When we were asked for support, we didn't have to think twice. In addition to modern technology and comfort, our CNG vehicles offer a more ecological and economical mobility solution for the Tour de Romandie thanks to the CNG engine."

The Gazenergie association is also on board.

André Räss, responsible for marketing: "When we sponsor an event, it's not just about putting our name on the poster, but about offering the organization real added value."

More environmentally friendly and 30 percent cheaper
With the Swiss gas mix of 80 percent natural gas and 20 percent biogas at CNG filling stations, the CO2 emissions of the natural gas vehicle are around 35 percent lower than those of gasoline and diesel.

In addition to ecological and tax benefits, TGI technology also scores points with cost savings of at least 30 percent.
