With Mercedes "me Charge," customers can charge at more than 200,000 public charging points across Europe.

Regardless of whether it's a small or large family: as a seven-seater, the Mercedes EQB, which is now making its debut at Auto Shanghai, offers space for many family constellations and a wide variety of transport needs.

EQB
Thanks to its long wheelbase, the 4.68-meter-long EQB offers a trunk volume of up to 1710 liters.

Trunk volume holds up to 1710 liters
This puts it in a special position not only in the compact segment, but also among electric cars. The two optional seats in row three can be used by people up to 1.65 meters tall. It is also possible to install child seats there.

Thanks to its long wheelbase, the 4.68-meter-long EQB also offers a generous trunk capacity of up to 1710 liters. The backrests of the second-row seats can be reclined in several stages as standard, and this row can be moved 140 millimeters in length as an option.

European variant starts this year
While the first EQA 250s are rolling into dealerships and the EQS, the independent electric member of the S-Class, is being presented, the China version of the EQB is making its debut in Shanghai.

The European variant will also be launched in 2021. The EQB will be the first electrically powered production vehicle from the Hungarian plant in Kecskemét. Mercedes quotes a consumption figure of 19.2 kWh/100 km, and the range is expected to be more than 400 kilometers.

Navigation with Electric Intelligence ex works
The EQB will be available with front-wheel and all-wheel drive, and various power levels with up to over 200 kW and batteries with a capacity starting at 66 kWh will be available.

Externally, the black panel grille with central star typical of Mercedes-EQ and the light strips at the front and rear are striking.

The standard navigation with Electric Intelligence is practical. It calculates the fastest route to the destination, taking into account the maximum charging power and duration of the charging stops. It also ensures that the high-voltage battery is brought to an optimum charging temperature before a planned charging stop, if required.
