The VW Golf GTI is a legend: The 5,000 units originally planned have become well over 2.3 million to date. And now Volkswagen is celebrating the 45th birthday of the creator of the new GTI world with an anniversary model.

Even the normal Golf GTI Clubsport sets itself apart technically from the classic Golf GTI - with a more powerful turbo engine and race track driving profile. Clubsport features also include enlarged air intakes, a special flow-through roof spoiler and a special sports exhaust system.
VW goes one step further with the Clubsport 45. The individualized equipment includes the black-painted roof with black roof-edge spoiler as a tribute to the black-edged rear window of the first Golf GTI.
Exclusive Race package in high-gloss black
Thanks to the Race package offered as standard in the Clubsport 45, the equipment also includes 19-inch alloy wheels painted in high-gloss black with narrow red paint stripes on the rim.
