McLaren: Artura comes as a six-cylinder 🎥

NEXT STEP The McLaren racing team has been competing with road cars for just under twelve years. Until now, all models have been powered by the V8 engine developed jointly with Ricardo. Now, for the first time, there is a six-cylinder. Conceptually, the Artura most closely resembles the outdated BMW i8, but also resembles the Honda NSX. Conceptually, the Artura is most like the departed BMW i8, but also resembles the Honda NSX.

The McLaren Artura comes with a 3.0-liter engine combined with an electric motor. After all, the engineers have managed to keep the weight just under 1.5 tons, which is quite an achievement for a hybrid.

The combined drive power is 680 hp and the top speed 330 km/h. Up to 30 kilometers can be covered purely electrically, albeit at lower speeds.

Striking appearance thanks to familiar design language
Stylistically, the Artura is based on the established McLaren design language and is most similar to the 720S, with almost identical dimensions. The cockpit is relatively generously proportioned and features rounded shapes.

The central air vents sit under an eye-catching cap, while the eight-speed transmission is operated via a switch on the instrument panel and easy-to-grip steering wheel paddles.

Important information is provided by the Cyber Tyre system
The Artura is equipped with tire sensors from Pirelli. The Cyber Tyre system communicates the type of tire, winter or summer version, the prescribed pressure, load index and speed class, as well as operating information such as temperature and tire pressure. For a super sports car, this is important information for the driver.

The order books are open, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in the course of the year. Prices for Switzerland and equipment are available on request.

McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt: "The new model is a distillation of everything we've ever learned."
