Jeep: The Gladiator is in Switzerland 🎥

COMEBACK There's no question about it, it's one of the forefathers of its genre: Hardly any other car has shaped the off-road segment as much as the Jeep Wrangler. With the Gladiator, the brand is returning to the pickup segment. The Gladiator offers the brand's legendary off-road capabilities thanks to the Command-Trac 4×4 system. The Gladiator offers the brand's legendary off-road capabilities thanks to the Command-Trac 4×4 system.

But in times when almost all manufacturers are raising their models a bit higher, even the original needs to be sharpened up to remain credible. For big-city cowboys and outdoor explorers, the edgy classic is now also available as a pick-up Gladiator with a more rustic charm and even greater utility value.

In Switzerland, the Gladiator is available as Sport (large picture), Overland, 80th Anniversary and as a limited Launch Edition.

Gladiator
The Gladiator Sport stands on 17-inch wheels, while the Overland and Launch Edition ride on 18-inchers.

Configurations for open-air adventures
The development of the robust loading area focused on functionality and flexibility. The loading area is illuminated, an external power source with 230 volts available on request. The Trail Rail loading management offers additional stowage options.

Further, there are a variety of configurations for open-air adventures with a fold-forward windshield and three-piece hardtop and softtop options. The Cargo Management Group with lockable storage compartment under the seats allows cargo to be organized even in the passenger cabin.

Turbodiesel engine meets emission standard
The 3.0 V6 MultiJet turbodiesel in the Gladiator has stop-start system, 264 horsepower output and 600 Newton meters of torque, and it is Euro 6d homologated.

The proven eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission is designed to optimize powertrain performance just as much for off-road driving as for smooth, efficient power delivery at highway speeds.

Sophisticated Command-Trac 4×4 system
The Gladiator offers the brand's legendary off-road capabilities thanks to the sophisticated Command-Trac 4×4 system with a two-stage transfer case and off-road gear ratio of 2.72 and heavy-duty front and rear axles with a gear ratio of 3.73.

All trim levels of the Gladiator are Trail Rated and feature off-road slope angles and a limited-slip differential on the rear axle. The Sport trim sits on 17-inch wheels, while Overland and Launch Edition ride on 18-inchers. Jeep is particularly proud that the Gladiator can tow up to 3.5 tons.

Special model with full equipment
The limited Launch Edition is reserved for those who order the pickup first, and it's packed with everything the brand has to offer in this class.

These include 18-inch alloy wheels, body-color paint for hardtop and wheel arch extensions, black partial leather seat covers, the tough non-slip coating for the cargo area, the Cargo Management Package and a cargo area cover, as well as alarm system and winter package.

Entertainment, security and information
Entertainment and information not only on board are provided as standard by an Alpine Premium Audio System with subwoofer and portable, wireless speaker as well as the Uconnect 8.4 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a touchscreen with a 21.3-centimeter screen diagonal.

The First Edition safety package consists of a front camera in the radiator grille, Blind Spot Monitoring blind spot warning, Rear Cross-Path Detection, Forward Collision Warning Plus with automatic braking function, and Adaptive Cruise Control with stop function and automatic high beams.

The prices are not yet fixed.
