Jaguar: Sustainable in the hunt for the world championship title 🎥

Like other manufacturers, the British are taking advantage of the new opportunity to use a drive system developed entirely in-house in order to gain expertise for future series vehicles with electric motors.
When developing the new I-Type 5, Jaguar Racing engineers aimed to increase overall efficiency, further reduce weight and lower the center of gravity.
A new suspension should open up additional adjustment options for the chassis depending on the track conditions. The inverter now also works even faster thanks to its highly conductive properties (use of 24-carat gold).
Partnership with Dow
The works team welcomes Dow, the world's leading materials research company, as a new official partner. With over 100 years of experience in the automotive sector and its new MobilityScience platform, Dow brings a wealth of materials experience and a pioneering spirit to the Jaguar racing team.
MobilityScience aims to tailor technologies, products and services from all Dow divisions for use in the transportation and automotive industries.
Sustainability in clothing and racing seats
To start the coming season in style, the whole team is dressed in stowable quilted jackets from Polo Ralph Lauren. They bear the Jaguar Racing logo and meet the highest sustainability criteria with recycled nylon and polyester fabrics and a filling also made from recycled material.
In addition, Jaguar Racing will use a new sustainable material called Typefibre for the racing seats of Sam Bird and Mitch Evans.
Tested in different climatic zones and under extreme racing conditions, Jaguar's Race to Innovate mission offers synergy effects with series components, from which Jaguar customers also benefit with a time delay.
Experienced duo
Briton Sam Bird and New Zealander Mitch Evans form one of the strongest driver pairings in the field. Evans has been on board since Jaguar joined Formula E in 2016. He made a special impression in Switzerland with pole position at the 2018 Zurich E Prix.
Bird is so far the only driver to have won a race in every Formula E season. He switched to the British racing team at the end of last season.
