Skoda: Fabia Combi family car 2016
It's timely: 23,451 readers of the magazines "Auto Strassenverkehr" and "Eltern" voted for the "Family Car of the Year" in seven categories for the fourth time. A total of 148 vans, SUVs and station wagons with at least 400 liters of luggage space were up for election. One overall winner and one import winner were chosen. In the category of vehicles up to 15,000 euros, the Skoda Fabia Combi was the winner. Significantly, there are only vehicles from foreign manufacturers in this price category. In the cars costing between 15,000 and 20,000 euros, the Skoda Octavia Combi also took victory in both the import and overall rankings - despite German competition. In the price category up to 25,000 euros, the VW Touran (overall victory) and the Toyota Avensis Touring Sports (import ranking) were in front, and the VW Multivan and the Skoda Superb Combi up to 30,000 euros. The VW Sharan and Seat Alhambra, which are identical in construction, won the race for vehicles between 30,000 and 35,000 euros. Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60 were the winners in the price category up to 40,000 euros and Audi A6 Avant and Volvo V90 in the category above 40,000 euros.
