The static and dynamic images of test drives on the Salzburgring show its sportiness.

At 1190 kilograms, the i20 N weighs the same as the i20 Coupé WRC. As a result, the compact car accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and achieves a top speed of 230 km/h.

Sporty look with red accents
The 4.01-meter short sports car is one centimeter lower than the other i20 models and has an air intake in the front apron for the turbo engine and exclusive side skirts. The pattern of the radiator grille with N logo is reminiscent of a checkered target flag.

The front spoiler with red accents emphasizes the sporty look. A roof spoiler increases driving stability at high speeds.

The rear bumper with diffuser look and triangular rear fog light is reminiscent of the light signature of the i30 N and i30 Fastback N. The i20 N stands on 18-inch wheels. You can see more details in the gallery.

Digital cockpit shows the limits
N-specific extras also characterize the interior. These include special sports seats with integrated headrests as well as an N steering wheel, N shift knob and pedals in aluminum look. Details in Performance Blue accentuate the otherwise black interior.

The digital cockpit offers functions such as the limit range of the tachometer, which is displayed with the help of LEDs and varies depending on the engine oil temperature, and the LED gearshift indicator.

Driving mode configurable as desired
The N Grin Control driving mode selection offers five programs, including one freely configurable setting. Stability control can be switched off completely. The intermediate throttle function, which can be switched on via the steering wheel button, adjusts the engine speed level to the speed of the transmission shaft when downshifting.

Chassis improved in favor of performance
The standard Launch Control prevents slippage and wheelspin under full acceleration from a standstill.

The chassis has been optimized at twelve points for the benefit of performance. These include a redesigned underbody panel and an additional mounting point for the suspension.

The market launch of the Hyundai i20 N is planned for spring 2021. Prices are not yet available.

The air intake in the front apron is a striking feature of the new Hyundai i20 N.
