Even at first glance, the successful design of the new, electrically powered Peugeot e-208 is striking. The harmonious design with short overhangs and the sporty yet robust appearance make it - subjectively perceived - one of the most beautiful models of the brand.

Good view of road and display
In the interior, the feel of the front seats, which are upholstered in fabric in the center and leather on the outside, is impressive. The cockpit extends to the side doors - with consistent design and impressive materials.
The central display for controls and indicators works perfectly and is pleasantly clear. The optional charging compartment for the smartphone is also cool.
With the steering wheel of the i-cockpit, which is flattened at the bottom and top in typical Peugeot style, you have a perfect view of the road and the display.
The space in the front is good. However, if tall people are seated in the front of the Frenchman, it gets cramped in the rear seats, but this is not a problem for short trips.
Up to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds
When you gently press the accelerator pedal, the e-208 starts moving almost silently. The 260 newton meters of the electric motor provide sporty tracking power. In sport mode, things really get going. It takes just 8.1 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standstill. The Normal and Eco driving modes, on the other hand, are geared more toward efficiency.
Sport mode offers a lot of driving fun
The recuperation function, whose intensity can be changed with the selector lever, is also fun. The greater the degree of recuperation, the stronger the braking effect and the more energy is recovered. A sporty driving style ensures plenty of driving pleasure in the electric 208.
Electromobility for small cars
The lowered center of gravity due to the heavy battery installed on the vehicle floor and the precise power steering play a particularly important role here.
Conclusion: Electromobility makes more and more sense, especially in the small car class. The Peugeot e-208 GT is available from dealers at a price starting at 39,550 francs.
