The smaller i10 and i20 models were recently upgraded with smarter shapes, while the i20 was given an additional engine and a 3-cylinder direct-injection turbo. The differences are now even more pronounced in the i30. The Golf-sized saloon remains as compact as before, but is now four centimetres longer (4.34 meters), two centimetres wider (1.80 meters) and one centimetre lower (1.46 meters).
A sporty 186 hp will soon be available for fast sprints
The base engine is the previous 1.4-liter naturally aspirated engine with 100 hp. All the more powerful petrol engines are new, including the 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo with 120 hp recently introduced in the i20. The provisional top engine is a new 1.4-liter direct-injection turbo with 140 hp (210 km/h, 8.9 seconds). Later, there will be a sports model under the "N" sub-brand, whose 1.6-liter turbo will deliver 186 hp and 265 Newton meters of torque.
