Last year, the Mark Zero from Piëch Automotive was presented at the Geneva Motor Show.

This includes signing up development and production partners, building an engineering campus in Memmingen near Stuttgart, and a new management team, with Matthias Müller as president, the former CEO of Porsche and Volkswagen.

Approach of the Zero deserves every effort

Matthias Müller: "I was spontaneously inspired by the mission of the two founders because it is more consistent and visionary than any new approach I have encountered during my work in the automotive industry. This approach deserves every effort."

Company founders Toni Piëch and Rea Stark, who caused a sensation with their study at the 2019 Motor Show, see Matthias Müller's involvement as part of a competence offensive in their management. You can see the first design studies in the gallery.

Concept, marketing and sales
Two CEOs are to accelerate the launch. Klaus Schmidt, who has been Chief Technology Officer for the vehicle concept for four years, is responsible for all technical areas.

Andreas Henke also serves as Chief Marketing Officer with responsibility for strategy, brand, customer relations, finance and human resources. Andreas Henke most recently worked in the high-end market for Porsche and Burmester. The company has also been able to recruit Jochen Rudat, the former Tesla head of sales for Europe, as a specialist for building up sales.

The Mark Zero is to be equipped with new battery and charging technology.

Body variants and drives
Piëch Automotive's modular vehicle concept, which allows numerous body variants, drive types and continuous hardware and software upgrades, is pursuing new ways of conserving resources.

At the launch of the first of three vehicle concepts planned to date, the two-seater electric sports car, the company plans to introduce its new battery and charging technology in series production at the end of 2022. It allows 80 percent of the capacity for a 400-kilometer range to be recharged in under five minutes.
