Just under 40 percent of the market is accounted for by the medium-sized van segment, which in turn is divided into several sub-segments. The previous Proace only covered these sub-segments to a limited extent. The new model year is completely different, as it is available as a panel van with three seats up to a nine-seater estate, as well as a chassis variant in three lengths.
Three equipment variants and economical engines
Toyota offers the panel van in the two equipment lines Terra and Luna. There is also a special equipment variant for the Combi people carrier, which is available with six to nine seats.
Low operating costs thanks to efficient diesel drives. There is a choice of three diesel engines. The four-cylinder engines with a displacement of 1.6 or 2.0 liters cover a range from 90 hp (1.6 liters) to 115 hp (1.6 liters) to 150 hp (2.0 liters). According to the factory, the diesel engines should all consume less than six liters per 100 kilometers.
