The octagonal grille of the Audi Q2 is lower, which makes the front end look significantly wider.

During the redesign, the Q2 grew by a few millimeters to 4.21 meters in length. The width of 1.79 meters remained unchanged, as did the height of 1.54 meters. The luggage compartment has an unchanged capacity of 405 to 1,050 liters.

Memories of the Sport quattro
At the front, the surfaces under the headlights are more prominent. The octagonal grille is lower, which makes the front end look wider.

In the advanced and S line equipment lines, there are narrow slots between the grille and hood, reminiscent of the Audi Sport quattro. The large indicated air intakes also appear more prominent, especially in the S line.

Combination of exterior variants
The interior of the Audi Q2 offers space for five passengers. The air vents and the shift knob or selector lever of the S tronic have a new look.

Instead of the basic variant, Q2 customers can also order the S line interior.

Lane departure warning is standard
The assistance systems for the Q2 come from the luxury class. The standard Audi pre sense front system monitors the area in front of the car via radar to avoid accidents.

Lane departure warning is also standard. The optional systems are divided into the Driving, Safety and Parking packages. The parking assistance package includes a rear-view camera and parking assist plus. An upgrade here is the parking assistant, which can steer the car independently into and out of gaps.

The safety assistance package includes lane change warning, rear cross-traffic assistant and the Audi pre sense basic and Audi pre sense rear systems.

Manual six-speed transmission as standard
The Audi Q2 enters the Swiss market with a gasoline engine: The 35 TFSI produces 150 hp. Its cylinder on demand efficiency system temporarily shuts down the second and third cylinders at low load and engine speed.

The Q2 as a 1.5 TFSI rolls off the production line with a six-speed manual transmission as standard. Further TFSI variants will be added by the end of the year.

The quattro all-wheel drive is available for some engine versions. Its multi-plate clutch, which transfers part or all of the engine torque to the rear wheels as required, belongs to a new generation. It has become about one kilogram lighter.

Edition in apple green or arrow gray
The special "edition one" model is offered at the market launch. It is painted apple green or arrow gray, and an S line bumper in contrasting gray paint and a roof edge spoiler add striking accents.

Add-on parts such as the mirror caps and Audi rings are painted black. Matrix LED headlights, 19-inch wheels from Audi Sport and the sports suspension are also included.

Black fabric headliner
Inside, the Q2 "edition one" offers the S line interior. The headliner is made of black fabric, and contrasting rock-gray stitching adorns the similarly black leatherette upholstery of the sports seats.

Illuminated aluminum ends are located in the entrances. Pedals and footrests are made of stainless steel, and the rim of the sports leather steering wheel is flattened. The Ambiente light package plus and the backlit trim panels round off the equipment.

With the 150 hp 35 TFSI engine, prices for the Q2 start at 34,400 Swiss francs.
