Aegerter: "A wonderful feeling" 🎥

The highlights of the sprint race show how the Swiss MotoE rider rode his #77 electric bike to his first victory.
For Dominique Aegerter, the switch from Moto2 to the racing bike with electric drive was apparently not a significant hurdle. In his debut race a week ago at the Spanish GP in Jerez, the class newcomer surprised everyone with second place on the grid and third place in the race.
Indescribable feeling
At the second event of the MotoE World Cup, which was only launched a year ago, the GP of Andalusia at the same venue, the 29-year-old from Rohrbach was the man to beat from the start on Sunday morning. In the race, which Aegerter tackled from pole position, he gave his opponents no chance after a turbulent opening phase.
No wonder he was overjoyed after his first victory in this racing series.
Dominique Aegerter: "It's difficult for me to describe my feelings, because I never thought that I could win in only my second MotoE race. It's definitely a wonderful feeling to be back on the top step of the podium after a long time."

Constant development
But this success is no accident.
Dominique Aegerter: "We looked at the data from the first race a lot and tried to improve in many small details. It was a strong start to the series last weekend. But it's very important to keep developing and making progress. That's why we were able to improve with every session."
Comparable ratios
The conditions were exactly the same as a week ago. Therefore, different set-up variants could be compared well. The Dynavolt Invicta GP crew did a great job at all times.
Dominique Aegerter: "It is not a matter of course to stay fully concentrated from early in the morning until late in the evening in this heat for over two weeks now. So my thanks go to my great guys in the team. And of course to everyone who has given me this opportunity and continues to support this project in times like these."
Seven weeks break from racing
After the long stay in the heat of southern Spain, the jovial motorcycle pro is now looking forward to a short break at home in Switzerland. On the other hand, it is a bit of a shame that it will be a long time until the next race on September 13.
Dominique Aegerter: "When you're in such strong form, as a racing rider you naturally want to get straight on with it. But I'm already looking forward to Misano. I love this track, where we have three races on two consecutive weekends, more than anything. That's good, because unlike some of the other riders, the track is new to us. The opposition will therefore start the weekend with a slight advantage. However, we will work all the harder to make up for this disadvantage as quickly as possible and want to be in the leading group again in every session."
