With 35,515 visitors, the Swiss commercial vehicle show transport-CH 2019 had exceeded all expectations. The leading trade fair, which has been organized by Expotrans SA for 20 years, welcomed another 6.3 percent more visitors. And in the B2B sector, an increase of 13.4 percent was recorded.
Added value for exhibitors and visitors
The goal of the combined event is to have a joint trade show for transportation/commercial vehicle, garage/workshop, aftermarket and body shop.
OC President Dominique Kolly: "At the same time, we want to reach a new target audience with the patronage partners and create added value for all exhibitors, visitors and partners."
Expansion aftermarket and accessories industry
At the same time as the 11th staging of the established Swiss commercial vehicle show transport-CH, a trade fair for the accessories market in the automotive sector, aftermarket-CH, will therefore be held for the first time. This will be accompanied by the expansion of the aftermarket section to include the accessories industry in the passenger car sector.
Exhibition Director Jean-Daniel Goetschi: "The garage and car body supply industry in Switzerland would like to see a new leading exhibition that is also a meeting place for the industry. The organizers are currently in talks with the associations about the formation of the trade fair's sponsorship. The detailed concept and the supporting events are to be defined in the near future."
Simplified and agile future of the trade fair
Erhard Luginbühl, President Swiss Automotive Aftermarket SAA: "It is a logical step to further develop this biennial event into an industry meeting place and to expand it into aftermarket-CH. The aftermarket-CH is to become our leading trade show."
The president of Carrosserie Suisse doubles down.
Felix Wyss: "As a founding partner, the car body trade plays a leading role in supporting the Commercial Vehicle Show. The organizers have proven that they can create a format that will endure. In addition to the commercial vehicle sector, the bodywork sector should now also benefit from this."
