Thanks to clever design, the Proace EV's cargo space remains unrestricted, while the payload has been increased to 1275 kilos and a towing capacity of up to one ton is possible.
Charging is simple and practical, whether at a public station, a wallbox or a household outlet. An on-board 11-kW charger is integrated with standard equipment.
Body variants and batteries
The Proace EV will be available in a wide range of variants: as a panel van and as a passenger version in a medium and long version. The panel vans will be launched first and supplemented by other body types in 2021.
Two batteries meet different customer needs. Both are lithium-ion batteries, either with 50 kWh or with 75 kWh. The range is up to 230 kilometers or up to 330 kilometers.
Daily driving distance of 45 kilometers
Surveys have shown that the typical daily amounts. This means that daily recharging is not necessary for most users.
The maximum power for both batteries is equivalent to 136 hp, with a torque of 260 Nm, and the top speed is electronically limited to 130 km/h.
Active or Comfort depending on requirements
The Proace EV will be available in Active and Comfort equipment versions. The Active variant corresponds to the current diesel models.
The new Comfort version adds a Color Pack with body-color bumpers and door handles, keyless entry and an audio system with 7-inch display, touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, plus navigation and rearview camera.
Orders for the Proace EV will be possible from this fall. The first vehicles will be delivered from winter 2020. Prices have not yet been set.
